Object Of My Affection

So looking through the new September Vogue while on my break I came a cross the 2011 Vera Wang Lavender Label campaign. At the moment she's showcasing her Sabina open toe tassel booties. Not only are they pebbled leather  with a pull exposed back zip but they had a hidden platform inside for extra comfort. They retail for a whopping $425 but there just exquisite. Just thought I would share.

Nailed

To tell the complete truth I’m obsessed with nail polish. I change the colour of my nails every two to three days.  I know it probably not good for you nails but honestly I can’t help it. I’m very loyal to just OPI and Sephora by OPI colours just because the longevity of their product. But I do think plain old Sally Hansen for a base and top coat is the way to go. Some of my fav colours for this fall would have to be Lincoln Park at Midnight just because it got that hint of sparkle (plum), Opening night which is a Navy blue (Sephora) and under my trench coat which is this amazing greige colour (Sephora).  But I have to say I have been really interested in trying out Butter London a 3 free company. Which means it doesn't contain Formaldehyde, Toluene and DBP. Their Heavy Metal Trio looks divine in Gold, Bronze and Silver and retails for about $44 or $17 each. As well as get 10% off thier 2011 colleion with promo code " SUMMER". . So if any of you have tried Butter London leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Okay so my first BadCrush give away will be the Vintage Estate Honey Topaz Earrings on the right from Crush Jewels http://www.etsy.com/listing/41467842/vintage-estate-honey-topaz-earrings All you guys need to do is become a follower contest end September 30th

Snake That Bag

There are no words to describe the love I have for handbags. It doesn't matter how much they cost or what brand they are. If there chic and have a place for my phone then I don’t have a problem.  For fall Python would have to be my choice and Carlo Falchi had designed an edge yet sophisticated messenger bag by the name of Shirise. Mrs. Shirise comes in Navy, bronze and black and retails for about $1295 ouch. But I have to say if I had that kind of dough and didn't have to pay my phone bill this month it would me mine.  Anyways on my quest to find a python bag in my price range I did find something from Nine West. This colour bock reptile hobo only retails for about $110 and with its duel straps you can use it as a shoulder or a messenger bag!  Though this bag has not hit store just yet, you can pre-order at the link below.  So no matter what your choice is let sophisticated texture of snake slither its way into your closet J

A Feathered World

A huge trend this season would have to be the feather not only showing up in earrings but as well as braided into hair, dresses, bags and shoes. My new addiction would have to be this website www.etsy.com not only can you find all handmade merchandise in practically anything you want, but they have the best hair Accessories. AKA …feathers! When surfing the site I came across this lovely little store call Sweet Grass Mill and its nothing but feather. The fall collection featured is pure luxury made in rich jewel tones such as teal, turquoise, amber and deep coco’s. And with each piece you have the option of dressing up or down. My favorite would have to be the Mezzanotte Clip, with its long black iridescence peacock feather its nothing but striking and perfect for a night out on the town. http://www.etsy.com/shop/sweetgrassmill?ref=top_trail

Trying the side braid at home?

When trying this look at home its best not use a product that's silicone based it make hair to silky and hard to control. I use Bumble and bumbler texture creme its gives hair a tousled undone look. Apply a small amount about the size of a pea to hair starting at ends working to scalp. Then using a normal brush blow hair straight, then part on the side. Using a french braid method braid the larger amount of hair. Attach with a small elastic at the nape of your neck and using bobby pin of vintage clip fasten. Finish with your fav hair spray and voila your done!

Chic summer hair

The season’s hottest hair trend seen on the red carpet is the braid. My fav look this season is worn by Amy Adams, a side part side braid and she looks stunning with her hair swept back in to a soft chignon. Also this summer Uma Thurman rocks this look with a low pony and a braided end she has just enough loose curls sitting in front to give this a chic bohemia look.
